The carver for this sculpture, who has an initial of "AO", has been doing carving works since 1993. He is specializing in carving Gorilla, Chimpanzee, and Koala Bear. He was a wood carver before he became a stone carver.

From designing to carving, this piece of sculpture took a skillful carver 6 days to carve and additional 14 hours to polish.

Ruby Zoisite is a natural formation of ruby and zoisite crystals grown in a single raw material. It has a hardness of 6.5 to 7 in Moh's scale. It is a very difficult gemstone to get a fine polish due to the hardness of Ruby and the porous structure of Zoisite.
