The carver for this sculpture, who has an initial of "CA", has been doing carving works since 2001. He is specializing in carving Horse, Octopus, and Sea-Turtle. He was a Jadeite carver before he starts working with other stones.
From designing to carving, this piece of sculpture took a skillful carver 7 days to carve and additional 10 hours to polish.
Tiger's Eye is in the Quartz family with a hardness of Moh's scale 7. It's chatoyancy effect is due to it's parallel inter growth of quartz crystals and fibers structure.
